With its colour airbrushed on by hand, the olive green version of our Chelsea is a few shades deeper at the toe and heel, like the edge patina on a smooth leather shoe. It shares the almond toe, orange leather lining and Artisan Rubber sole of the other colours, and is made by hand in European ateliers. Olive is a distinctive colour that pairs well with navy and grey.

Orders are shipped within 2-3 Business days - This is not applicable for Handmade Orders as these are specially made-to-order.

Self Returns online can be easily processed by logging into your Reinhard Frans account and requesting a refund for your order. Returns shipments are for the customers account, alternatively you can visit any one of our stores for a FREE refund or exchange.

Care for Your Shoes

Regularly brush your shoes with a suede brush to remove dirt and maintain the nap of the suede.

Brush in the same direction to avoid damaging the fibers.

Spray shoes with a suede protector. This will create a barrier against water, stains, and dirt.

If your shoes get wet, let them dry naturally away from direct heat.

Tough Stains- Apply a small amount of white vinegar to a cloth and dab the stain.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a shoe tree to maintain the shape

Ensure the perfect fit

  1. Wear socks similar to the ones you plan to wear with the shoes.
  2. Stand upright with your heel against the wall.
  3. Mark the longest part of your foot (usually the tip of your big toe or second toe)
  4. Use the ruler to measure the distance from the wall (heel) to the toe mark.
  5. Repeat the process for both feet, as one foot is often slightly larger than the other.
  6. Use the measurement of the longer foot when determining your shoe size.
  7. Use our shoe size chart from Reinhard Frans (located above next to sizes) to convert your foot length to the correct shoe size.

Chelsea Boots

The Chelsea boot is a classic ankle boot with a sleek, minimalistic design and elastic side panels that make it easy to slip on and off. Originating in the Victorian era, these boots typically have a rounded toe, a pull tab at the back, and no laces or zippers. Chelsea boots are versatile and timeless, suitable for both casual and formal occasions, and are often made from leather or suede. We make the Chelsea in suede and leather, from a slim classic version to a lower cut, and with a treaded sole for wet weather.

Featured Materials

Artisan Rubber

Mastrotto is the best suede we can buy: the top tannery in the region, and by some margin the most expensive material in the shoe. Full grain, tightly napped, dyed deep through, which is why it holds its shape and its colour instead of going patchy where the shoe flexes.

The edges are darkened by hand with an airbrush, a few shades deeper than the body of the shoe. It gives suede the edge patina you normally only see on a leather shoe, and it means no two pairs come out quite the same.

The Artisan Rubber sole is a Reinhard Frans blend of natural rubber. The profile runs thin, so the boot sits close to the ground, and it wears slower than leather with more grip on wet stone.
