The Porto is our penny loafer in dark brown Italian Mastrotto suede, built on last 8 for a slightly broader fit through the waist. The shoe is made by hand in our own European atelier, with stitching that runs in a warm contrast thread along the penny strap and vamp.

The sole is made from Artisan Rubber, a Reinhard Frans signature in a natural rubber blend. The profile runs thin so the shoe sits close to the ground without the bulk of a traditional rubber sole. Orange inserts at heel and toe reinforce the contact points that take the most wear. Quieter than leather on hard floors, more grip on stone. A shoe that works under tailoring or with denim, depending on the day.

Self Returns online can be easily processed by logging into your Reinhard Frans account and requesting a refund for your order. Returns shipments are for the customers account, alternatively you can visit any one of our stores for a FREE refund or exchange.

Care for Your Shoes

Regularly brush your shoes with a suede brush to remove dirt and maintain the nap of the suede.

Brush in the same direction to avoid damaging the fibers.

Spray shoes with a suede protector. This will create a barrier against water, stains, and dirt.

If your shoes get wet, let them dry naturally away from direct heat.

Tough Stains- Apply a small amount of white vinegar to a cloth and dab the stain.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a shoe tree to maintain the shape

Ensure the perfect fit

  1. Wear socks similar to the ones you plan to wear with the shoes.
  2. Stand upright with your heel against the wall.
  3. Mark the longest part of your foot (usually the tip of your big toe or second toe)
  4. Use the ruler to measure the distance from the wall (heel) to the toe mark.
  5. Repeat the process for both feet, as one foot is often slightly larger than the other.
  6. Use the measurement of the longer foot when determining your shoe size.
  7. Use our shoe size chart from Reinhard Frans (located above next to sizes) to convert your foot length to the correct shoe size.
